Minutes of the Fine Arts Commission meeting held on March 8, 2022.

The meeting was called to order at 6:04 p.m.
Ms. Bowman made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2022 meeting.
Motion seconded by Mr. Stock and unanimously approved.
It was related that the February concert was a very successful event.
Discussion turned to the first draft of the Art in Public Places Procedures and Protocols. A
subcommittee comprised of Assistant Village Manager Tanya Wilson, Angela Dorney and Susan
Ackley has been formed to discuss/create the draft. It was noted that any changes to the draft by
the Committee will be discussed with the subcommittee. A second draft will be created for any
additional comments and/or suggestions. The draft will then go to Councilwoman Burch and the
Village Manager for any comments and the final draft will go to the Village Council. At this time the
Commission reviewed the draft item by item and made their suggested corrections.
Discussion turned to the March concert noting that there will be three vendors at the event.
The draft of the flier for the April Gallery Night was distributed. It was related that the length of time
for the display of art varies at each location; Village Hall’s display is for a term of one year, Library
displays are six weeks and the mural wall in front of Village Hall is for two years. It was related the
cost of an Egret ad will be $597 and the graphic artist fee is $200.
Ms. Bowman made a motion to approve $597 for an Egret ad for Gallery Night. Motion
seconded by Mr. Stock and unanimously approved.
Ms. Dunlop make a motion to approve $200 for a graphic artist to design the flier for Gallery
Night. Motion seconded by Mr. Stock and unanimously approved.
At this time Commission members judged the submission’s from the Library art contest.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
