R-2021-141 2 3 RESOLUTION NO. 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL, MIAMI SHORES, 5 FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR 6 MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022; PROVIDING FOR 7 AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 8 9 10 WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council of Miami Shores, Florida, held a public 11 hearing as required by Florida Statute 200.065; and, 12 13 WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council of Miami Shores, Florida, on Monday, 14 September 13, 2021, adopted Fiscal Year 2021-2022 tentative millage rates following a public 15 hearing as required by Florida Statute 200.065; and, 16 17 WHEREAS, the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt from taxation 18 within Miami-Dade County has been certified by the county property appraiser to Miami Shores 19 Village as $1,317,453,798. 20 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Miami Shores Village Council of Miami 22 Shores, Florida, that: 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 Section 1. The Fiscal Year 2021-2022 tentative operating millage rate is 7.9 mills, which is greater than the rolled-back rate of 7.5392 mills by 4.79%. Section 2. The voted debt service millage totals 0.3638'(0.1461 mills and 0.2177 mills for the Aquatic Center and Charter School respectively). Section 3. The Village Council will adopt the final millage rates following the second mandatory public hearing, which is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
