HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES

October 23, 2019 Minutes Approval.
Motion to approve the minutes made by Mr. Bramson, seconded by Ms. Headley and the motion
was approved unanimously.

4) DISCUSSION ITEM(S)
4.A DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING DESIGNATION NOTICE.
Staff advises the Board members that the Public Hearing Notice draft was provided to the Board
members and asked if they had any questions about it.
Chairman Castellanos spoke about the item and asked the Board members to have comments for next
meeting.
Designation Notice is good and the Board will look at it some more to discuss next meeting also.
Board member Barker mentioned that he had looked at other cities for more information in their
ordinances.
Staff spcki� about how the process goes when the Board brings up any changes to the code.
There was discussion about wanting to have more specifics on the benefits to the homeowners.
Staff will read Miami Beach ordinance for tax credit before next meeting. Criteria process from other
cities.
Motion to recommend that Shoreland Homes be made Historic with the owners permission made by Mr.
Seth Bramson, seconded by Chairman, Wesley Castellanos and the Motion was approved
unanimously.
Ms. Patrizia Bonaduce gave a great presentation on item prepare by her with contained all the homes
that could be historically designated according to the date they were built. She will have the
final map completed by the January 15, 2010 meeting.
Ms. Headley proposed to designate her husband as the person that takes pictures of the homes being
considered to be historically designated.
Ms. Bonaduce and Mr. Bramson proposed to have certificates of appreciation for the homeowners.
The Board will review all information given by the Board and Staff and will come back with proposals
at the January meeting.
Mr. Kendall will check the ordinance for historic designation criteria.
The letter and the process will be finished next meeting.
