Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday, May 29, 2019
Present: B. Brown, M. Gallo, M. Mennes, A. Smith, R. Strickland and A. Pozzi
P. Rajo phoned into the meeting
Meeting was called to order at 5:35 pm
Mr. Mennes corrected minutes from April’s meeting
A. Pozzi -
• The burger and craft beer night has been shelved for now because of staffing shortages
• Will restart the burger and craft beer night late July
• The greens aerification completed the first round of golf course aerification, two more to come
• Pending summer projects…
o New golf course maintenance equipment will arrive in August
o A new fleet of golf carts will arrive the 3rd week of June
o The new fleet is equipped with the latest generation of lithium batteries which are 300
pounds lighter than the current acid batteries and are significantly more energy efficient
using less energy for a full charge
o The golf operations staff have done a great job with the maintenance of the current fleet of
golf carts
New Business:
M. Gallo –
• The members really enjoyed the burger and craft beer night
• The greens played great this past weekend
B. Brown –
• The place is looking good
• The golf staff is looking a little thin
M. Mennes – Do you put the free food out on Thursdays just for TAGWOL?
A. Pozzi – Yes we do
P. Rajo –
• Working on planning a MGA event
• The member – guest tournament was the last tournament the MGA had
• Trying to get new tournament ideas to get the members involved
• May possibly do a 1 day fall member-guest tournament
• Would like to work towards doing a 2 day member – guest event
• What happened to the tree on #3?
• Likes the new customized tee markers
A. Pozzi – The tree on #3 fell during one of the recent storms and we realized that the entire center of the
trunk rotted out and therefore it had to be removed
H. Orlin –
• Camp starts June 3rd
• Played pickle ball, great sport
• Working on a price sheet
• Had a great year with the schools
• Working on the entrance to the courts
A. Pozzi –
• Please give us a copy of the price sheet and the times you can play pickle ball
• Seth will help you with what you need to order for the entrance
A. Smith –
• We had 40 players that played in the PGA Championship
• Looking forward to the start of summer camp
• The upcoming US Open tournament format is a 4 person shamble
R. Strickland –
• Please make your reservations for Father’s Day
• July 4th is right around the corner
• Groovy will be playing here on July 18th
The next meeting is scheduled for June 26, 2019
