Advisory Board Meeting Minutes -March 27, 2019 Advisory Board Meeting Wednesday, March 27, 2019 Present: M. Wilcoxen, R. Marando, B. Brown, C. Baetzel, H. Orlin, R. Strickland and A. Pozzi T. Halloran and P. Rajo phoned into the meeting Meeting was called to order at 5:31 pm A. Pozzi - Beginning Thursday, April 18 we will have a special craft beer and burger special menu every Thursday through May 30th T. Halloran – Very excited, please send me the marketing material and my wife will email it out to our friends New Business: A. Pozzi – • March was an excellent month in both golf and food and beverage • March will be a record month for the number of rounds of golf played M. Wilcoxen – • Tomorrow we play the golf tournament that Licka Degwitz sponsors, there are 23 players signed up to play • The Club is doing a great job, play has been full • On Thursdays we will pick one hole that the ladies will sand to fill in the divots A. Pozzi – We had the Chef prepare all the hamburgers on the menu and we tasted them all and we feel it is difficult to eliminate the Kaiser roll, the beef sliders are served on the pretzel buns P. Rajo – did not know that we already had sliders served on the pretzel bun A. Pozzi – will make sure the staff knows to offer it B. Brown – Noticed the new signs on the golf carts M. Gallo – • The members driving range looks great • At the Village Council Meeting, “Pedro and I mentioned that this place feels like home” • The golf course is in fantastic shape A. Pozzi – We received a very nice review from Golf Now Travel Advisors R. Marando – • A lot of people feel like they are home here • The course is in excellent shape • Going to play in the Championship tournament B. Brown – • 48 players are coming out to play with TAGWOL • The place is looking good T. Halloran – • 35 players are confirmed for my tournament • Thursdays should be family night and we should have some games for the kids like cornhole, a big jenga set, etc A. Pozzi – • Concerned that the children are on their own from a liability standpoint • Will think about it P. Rajo – • Summer is coming, what will the maintenance schedule be? • How many times will the greens be punched? • Some golf members do not input their score in the GHIN system, it should be mandatory • The Classic golf tournament is scheduled for one week after thanksgiving A. Pozzi – • Tuesday after Memorial Day, we will begin the summer aerification program with greens followed by approaches and collars, tees and slopes and finally fairways • The schedule calls for 3 greens aerifications, 2 with hollow tines and 1 with solid tines • We will consider including handicap services for the executive membership to facilitate access to the system. If we proceed, the executive membership rate would have to increase C. Baetzel – • Commends Mr. Rajo and Mr. Gallo for chairing the most successful member guest tournament • The tournament was very well received • 48 players are signed up for the Club Championship, 23 of them for the championship flight, we will have 3 flights and prizes for each winner H. Orlin – • Tennis is doing great • Spring camp is going on now • There is a lot of play at the courts • Resurfaced the back 2 courts • The new windscreen arrived today • The pickelball demonstration took place on March 23rd, the pros explained the game and the scoring, saw several new faces • Pickelball will be another amenity the Club has to offer R.
