Advisory Board Meeting Minutes -June 26, 2019 Advisory Board Meeting Wednesday, June 26, 2019 Present: M. Wilcoxen, B. Brown, M. Gallo, M. Mennes, C. Baetzel, H. Orlin, R. Strickland and A. Pozzi Meeting was called to order at 5:33 pm The Advisory Board minutes from May were approved A. Pozzi – • The new lithium battery cart fleet was delivered • The new golf course equipment will be arriving at the end of August B. Brown – • The new carts are very nice • It seems like there are not enough rakes A. Pozzi – The cart fleet was delivered without rake holders which were installed on Monday. There are plenty of rakes, we just did not have the holders to place them on the carts New Business: M. Wilcoxen – • Many of the ladies are traveling during the summer • Julio and Ricky installed pictures of the winners of the Ladies Golf Associations Major tournaments • Looking to replace some of the pictures in the ladies locker room M. Gallo – • People in the community are talking about the coyotes on social media • My comment to everyone is do not walk on the golf course A. Pozzi – • We called the Florida Game and Wildlife Commission for direction in ways to deal with the coyotes. They indicated that the animals are not a threat to humans but can possibly be to small pets. The commission does not trap them and recommended to us that we use air horns as they do not like loud noises. They also said that it is illegal to feed them and anyone doing so is subject to arrest. • We will have signs printed stating that coyotes have been spotted in the area, please do not feed them M. Mennes – • If you keep having complaints you will have to trap them • The crepe myrtle tree is beautiful B. Brown – • What is happening with the Burger Night • The employees are working hard A. Pozzi – After The Groove Dogz Night (July 17) we will reinstate the Thursday Craft Beer and Burger Night on July 25th C. Baetzel – • The starter position is available and 3 current employees are interested in the job • We will let them prove themselves and will make the decision in September for the open position • For the U.S. Open member tournament we had 60 players, which was an excellent turnout • The team of Armando Fernandez and Donald Wolfe won • As of now 24 players have signed up for the July 4th tournament H. Orlin – • The last 2 weeks of summer camp have been great with excellent attendance • There are some new faces for camp, which is always nice to see • Started to resurface the clay courts • The pickle-ball courts are open for play on a limited schedule, call the tennis pro-shop for reservations • The camp kids like to play pickle-ball R. Strickland – • We had an excellent turnout for Father’s Day with great comments • July 4th is right around the corner, please make your reservations now • The Groove Dogz will be playing here on July 18th The next meeting is scheduled for July 31, 2019 Meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm
