FINAL BUDGET HEARING MINUTES

1) CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wagar called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM.

4) PUBLIC HEARINGS
4.A A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING THE FINAL LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Ms. Rodriguez read the entire resolution into the record, detailing the tentative operating millage rate of
7.9 mills and the proposed increase over the rolled-back rate, which is greater than the rolled-back rate
of 7.4169 mills by 6.51%.
Mayor Wagar opened the public hearing, but as no one wished to speak on the tentative tax increase,
Mayor Wagar closed the Public Hearing.

Councilman Loffredo moved to approve the Resolution, adopting the final levying of ad valorem taxes
for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Councilman Brady seconded the motion.
There being no discussion, Mayor Wagar called for the vote to approve the resolution, which carried a
5-0 voice vote.

Councilman Loffredo moved to approve the Resolution, adopting the final budgets for fiscal year 2019-
2020. Vice Mayor Burch seconded the motion.
There being no further discussion, Mayor Wagar called for the vote, which carried a 5-0 vote in favor of
the motion.

There being no further business before the Village Council, the final budget hearing adjourned at 6:09
PM.
