R-2019-221 RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -22 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES 3 VILLAGE, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO 4 EXECUTE A LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM (LAP) AGREEMENT WITH 5 THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 WHEREAS, Miami Shores Village applied for a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant and was awarded the grant for a mobility project for a shared use path for pedestrians and bicyclists on Northeast Second Avenue as well as safety improvements in several intersections within the Village limits; and WHEREAS, FDOT agrees to participate in the Project cost up to the maximum amount of $454,393.00 through the TAP Grant funding awarded to Miami Shores Village; and WHEREAS, FDOT requires Miami Shores Village to enter into a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with FDOT in consideration of the mutual benefits to be derived from the joint participation on the Project subject to the terms and conditions of the Agreement; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL, That: 22 Section 1. The Village Manager is hereby authorized to take any and all steps necessary to 23 finalize and execute a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the State of 24 Florida Department of Transportation in a form approved by the Village Attorney, 25 to facilitate the Project. 26 Section 2.
