GENERAL NOTES (Design):
1. This design is for at grade railing installations ONLY!! Installations above
grade shall be designed for specific f r ec c o the location.

2. Design complies with the requirements of the FBC 2017, 6th Edition & ASCE
7-10, 115 MPH (Category I, 3 second gust), Exposure C.
3. Installation may be either mechanically (screw) connected or fully welded.
4. Gate leaf (single or double) widths can be installed up to the allowable size
as shown in Detail 3. Should a double leaf gate be installed then the Latch
and Drop Bolt shall be installed (per the local requirements).
5. All openings shall be able to reject a 4" sphere.
6. All exposed visible ends shall be provided with caps or covers.
GENERAL NOTES (Installation):
1. POST CONNECTIONS:
a. POST @ CONCRETE DECK PLATE / SHOE: Pre -manufactured
Aluminum post shoe or 4"x4"x3/16" aluminum plate anchored with (4) 1/4"0
x 3-1/2" tapcons (min. 3" embed).
b. POST @ CONCRETE DECK CORE DRILL: Core concrete deck 3"0 x
3-1/2" and install post with high strength epoxy grout (10,000 psi minimum).
c. POST @ GRADE: Anchored in 10" x 24" (2,500 psi) concrete.
2. WALL CLIP CONNECTION: (Pre -Manufactured or 2"x2"x1/8" aluminum
bent plate) Aluminum to concrete connections shall be 1/4"0 x 2-1/4"
tapcons (min. 1-3/4" embed). Aluminum to aluminum connections shall be
made using (1) #8 x 1" Tek screw per receiver.
3. RAIL / POST CONNECTION: (1) # 8 x 1" Tek screws or fully welded.
4. RAIL / PICKET CONNECTION: (1) # 8 x 1" Tek screw or fully welded.
GENERAL NOTES (Materials):
1. All aluminum extrusions shall be made of alloy 6063-T6 Alloy (35,000 psi
yield) unless noted otherwise.
2. All hardware used for pool fencing enclosures shall be automatically,
self -closing and self -latching. Magna Latch and Lokk bolt shall be used in a
pool fencing application with latch location 54" AFF minimum. See
