For more information, please consult the MSDS Application Safety While spraying, always work with adequate ventilation. Protective gloves, overalls, eye protection, safety shoes, hard hats and a properly fitting breathing apparatus supplying fresh air must be worn by the installers (and others working within 25 feet of the installers) at all times while spraying. Persons with known respiratory allergies must avoid exposure to the isocynanate component. If inhalation of the vapors occurs, remove the person from the working area to breathe fresh air and if breathing is still difficult, call a physician. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. In case of eye contact, immediately Flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician immediately. In case of skin contact, wash area with soap and water. Wash any clothing that has come into contact with the isocyantate or resin before reuse. Fire hazard Fires involving either component may be extinguished with carbon dioxide, dry chemical or an inert gas. Application of large quantities of chemical spray is recommended for spill fires. Personnel fighting the fire must be equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus. HEALTH AND SAFETY STATEMENT FOR CERTIFIED ICYNENE SPRAYERS Icynene products have an excellent health and safety record spanning more than 350,000 insulation projects over more than 25 years. Nonetheless, safe handling practices during and immediately following installation are required to eliminate the possibility of health effects from exposure to isocyanates. Asthma, other lung problems, and irritation of the nose and throat can result from inhalation of isocyanates. Direct contact with the skin and eyes can result in irritation. Different individuals will react differently to the same exposures; some will be more sensitive than others. Severe asthma attacks have been reported in some sensitized workers exposed repeatedly to isocyanates while not wearing proper protective equipment. Some reports indicate a reaction and sensitization can occur following a single, sustained occupational exposure to isocyanates without proper protective equipment above the OSHA permissible exposure limit. But sensitization • ; • might not occur immediately in some individuals. Consistent use of personal proper protective equipment to prevent exposure during spraying and within the 21 %oIrir; perio1i • • ; • after spraying is completed is critical to eliminating the health hazard. Once uhsitization . has occurred, a worker might not be able work safely with spray foam insulation again. • • • • Sprayers, sprayer helpers, and anyone else present during spraying or withiY24 Hours after spra dung is complete: You must wear proper Personal Protective EquiiMilt.(PPE) • at all times during spray, including full -body -coverage, chemical-protectiv4 cldtf*ng and a H-certified respirator with fresh air supply. While spraying and for 24 ho ors after spraying is completed, no one must be allowed within 50 feet of the sprayedofbartt 0000 without wearing this type of PPE at all times. Adequate active, negative pressure ventilation (exhaust fans) of the job site must be in place during spray and for 24 hours after spray is complete. Independent studies indicate that with 24 hours' active ventilation after spraying is completed, Icynene spray foam insulation is safely cured. / I /.\ WARNING WEAR PROPER PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AT ALL TIMES ON PREMISES DURING SPRAYING • AND WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER SPRAY IS COMPLETE intertek Code Compliance Research Report Total Quality. The coated assembly may be left exposed to the interior of the building without the application of a code -prescribed thermal barrier when installed as described in this report. 3.0 DESCRIPTION DC 315 is a single -component, water -based, liquid -applied intumescent coating. The coating is supplied in 5-gallon (19 L) pails and 55-gallon (208 L) drums, and has a shelf life of one (1) year when stored in factory -sealed containers at temperatures between 50° and 80°F (10 and 27°C). DC 315 Primer is a liquid -applied primer, manufactured by International Fireproof Technology, Inc. / Paint to Protect, and is supplied in 1- and 5-gallon (3.8 and 18.9 L) pails, and has a shelf life of 2 years when stored in factory - sealed containers at temperatures between 50" and 80°F (10 and 27°C). DTM Bonding Primer is a waterborne, acrylic emulsion, bonding primer manufactured by Sherwin-Williams. The primer is supplied in 1- and 5-gallon (3.8 and 18.9 L) containers, and has a shelf life of three (3)•Xears when stored in factory -sealed containers at Temperatures between 50" and 100°F (10 and':J1VC) ; .. . 4.0 DESIGN AND INSTALLATION• • • • • • • • 4.1 Installation —General. • • • • • • • .... •... DC 315 must be applied 1rz..¢cordance. *W0 the manufacturer's published appli"ipp jgstructigps and this report. A copy of the instructionlogs1be availabl8.1 the job site at all times. DC 315 must be mechanicallymixedQrior to-appl'ation. The coating is applied to the. required thicFness using spray equipment, a brush or a rdlIpjlialing a rp9dium•nap. Surfaces to be coated must be inspected in acctg*nce with the manufacturer's published installation instructions and must be dry, clean, and free of dirt, loose debris and other substances that could interfere with the adhesion of the coating. The coating must not be applied when the ambient or surface temperature is below 50"F (10°C) or above 90"F (32° C) and relative humidity of not more than 65%. The manufacturer must be consulted for specific application conditions. The DC 315 coating may be applied over spray -applied foam plastic insulation without covering the coated assembly with the thermal barrier prescribed in IBC Section 2603.4 and IRC Section R316.4 (2006 IRC Section R314.4). The DC 315 primer and DTM Bonding Primer, when used as part of the assemblies listed in Table 1, must be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's published installation instructions. 5.0 CONDITIONS OF USE The DC 315 coating described in this report complies with, or is a suitable alternative to what is specified in, those codes listed in Section 1.0 of this report, subject to the following conditions: 5.1 Application must comply with this report, the manufacturer's published installation instructions, and the applicable code. A copy of the installation instructions must be on the job site during application ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are not to he construed as representing aesthedas or any other attributes not specifically addressed, nor are they to he construed as an endorsement ofthe suhject of the report or a recommendation for its use. The use of this interior finish in conjunction with the vapor retardant coating in Item 5.3 is outside the scope of this report. 5.3 Application of a vapor retardant coating with the DC 315 coating is limited to use of moisture vapor barrier interior/exterior coating consisting of 30% silicone alkyd having a VOC (less exempt solvents) of no more than 340 g/L (2.8 lb/gal) and a volume solids content of 62% applied at a maximum average wet film thickness of 8 mils (0.20 mm). The use of this vapor retardant coating in conjunction with the interior finish in Item 5.2 is outside the scope of this report. 5.4 Recognition in this report is for the specific assemblies and spray -applied foam plastic insulations Nscrled in .Table 1. (Folio # 11-3206-019-0070). Dear Applicant: The Tree Permitting Program is in receipt of Tree Permit Application #8631 for the removal of multiple non -specimen trees within the above referenced parcel. A site inspection revealed that the trees requested for removal are trees within the yard of an existing single family residence and are not specimen size. Specimen trees are defined as a tree with any individual trunk having a diameter at breast height (DBH) of eighteen (18) inches or greater. Within a yard of an existing single family residence a permit is only required for specimen trees within the property and all trees within the right-of-way or common area. Taking the above into consideration, a Miami -Dade County Tree Removal Permit will not be required for the subject trees. Please be advised that other regulated tree species were observed on site. If at a later date you wish to remove these trees, they may require a Miami -Dade County Tree Removal Permit. If you have any questions concerning the above information, please contact me at (305) 372-6445 or via email at Leslie.Agudelo@miamidade.gov.
