The purpose of our inspection was to secure bulk samples for analysis to determine the presence of Asbestos Containing Building Materials (ACBM). The scope of our inspection was limited to the following areas: - Building at the above referenced project (see attached plan) Based on our laboratory analysis, it was evident that asbestos fibers were found in the following secured bulk samples: A- Category I Non -Friable Material: 1- Black A/C mastic behind wall mirrors was found with 5-7% Chrysotile fibers. Approximately 100 SF Sample #'s 12, 13 & 14. 2- Exterior window and doors caulking was found with 3-4% Chrysotile fibers. Approximately 20 Windows and 5 doors/ 10 SF Sample #'s 50, 51 & 52. A/C mastic and exterior windows and doors caulking are considered Category I Non -Friable material. This report is designed to aid the Building Owner, Architect, Construction Manager, General Contractors, and Potential Asbestos Abatement Contractors in locating ACBM. Under no circumstances is this report to be utilized as a proposal or a project specification document. This inspection report is the result of a customary search of the facility for ACBM. This survey was non-destructive in order to expose potentially hidden materials. This is not an AHERA SURVEY, We do not claim to have identified all of the ACBM present in the facility. Therefore; if, in the course of a renovation or demolition activity, suspect materials become exposed in concealed space (inside walls, ceilings, pipe chases etc..), all activities should immediately cease and the suspect material brought to our attention for evaluation and recommendation.
