Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday, September 27,2017
Present: M. Gallo,R.Raymond,B.Brown,L. Mennes,M. Mennes,R.Marando,C. Baetzel,
P.Arutyunov,H. Orlin,R. Strickland and A. Pozzi
Meeting was called to order at 5:33 pm
July meeting minutes were approved
A.Pozzi—
• The Club fared well after the storm,no structural damage to the building
• There was damage to the alarm board in the Pro Shop,the electronic control for the sump pump in f.}
the basement,several air condition and refrigeration units and cart path
• The golf course sustained a significant amount of tree damage
• Cleanup could last another 2 months,renting equipment is not an easy task,a lot of rental
companies are out of the specific equipment needed for the cleanup
• The greens,tees and fairways recovered quickly from the aerification
New Business:
L. Mennes—The tennis courts look good
B.Brown—
• The golf course recovered nicely from the hurricane
• How much water was in the men's locker room?
A. Pozzi—There was approximately 1 '/z to 2 inches of water in the locker room
R. Raymond—Compliments to the staff that worked so hard to get the golf course back to playing condition
M. Gallo—For the prizes for the men's golf association it is a shame that the gift cards cannot be used in the
lounge
C.Baetzel—The gift cards are good in the proshop so we can move merchandise
A. Pozzi—Different point of sale system,not opposed to offering the food and beverage gift cards
C. Baetzel—will try food and beverage gift cards for the October 25`h golf tournament
M. Gallo—
• Very happy with food and beverage and the golf course
• 15 people signed up for the M.G.A. golf tournament scheduled for October 7"'

M. Mennes—Does any of the FEMA money help with the cleanup of the damaged trees
A.Pozzi—FEMA might cover some of the debris removal expense,no coverage for tree replacement, cart
path or any of the other damage
R. Marando—Did Normandy get hit hard by the storm?
A.Pozzi—Normandy did get hit pretty hard by the hurricane,about 60%of the golf course was under water
for several days,they finally were able to open last Saturday
C. Baetzel—Sign up for the October 25fl'Halloween golf tournament,wearing a costume is mandatory and
stay for the Dolphins/Ravens game
A. Pozzi—Is there an interest in night golf? Thinking about doing a night golf event in January or February
around the full moon,will work on the details of the event
P.Arutyunov—
• Updated the lunch and dinner menus
• Motown night is Thursday October 5,No cover
• Our next family night is scheduled for October 20
H. Orlin—
• We got very lucky with the storm
• Resurfaced all the courts
• Louis and Seth's crew helped with the preparation for the storm
• Lost a lot of clay on the north side of the tennis courts
• Two new pros joined the staff at tennis courts
• Going to focus more on marketing on social media
R. Strickland—No comments
