Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday, September 30,2015
Present: M. Wilcoxen,M. Griffith, L. Mennes,M. Mennes,B.Brown,M. Gallo,C. Baetzel,R. Strickland,
A.Rizzi and Alberto Pozzi
Meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm
A. Pozzi—
• Updated the Board on the letter from Mr.Walters and the fact that he cancelled all future Chamber
Events at Miami Shores Country Club. As a result Miami Shores Country Club resigned from the
Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce
• Spoke with Mr.Jonathan Meltz,President of the Chamber,who said Mr. Walters did not have the
power or authorization from the Board to cancel the dates that were booked with the Country Club
• Introduced Mr.Antonio Rizzi,he has been here one month,he is our new Dining Room Manager,
He is responsible for the supervision and training of Dining Room staff and Dining Room
Operations
• Going to have an unveiling of the new lounge party on Wednesday,October 14`x'
• From Howie...
o New 9ft logoed screens are on order
o The renovation of the tennis court shelters has been completed,awaiting delivery of new
benches and tables
o More work will be done with the landscaping,to be completed the beginning of November
• Golf course summer maintenance program has been completed
• Now the maintenance crew are focusing on the landscaping,tree pruning and manicuring the
grounds
• Sand will be added to all bunkers in November
• We are experiencing the highest tides on record and it appears that tide levels rise every year
significantly
New Business:
M. Wilcoxen—
• The water fountain on#6 was not cold
• Trying to find new members to join the woman's association
C. Baetzel—Somehow the water fountain became unplugged and it is working correctly now
M. Griffith—No Comments
M. Mennes—Kuddos to the golf course crew for keeping the course open with all of the water from the high
tides and rain
L. Mennes— r
• Looking forward to all the improvements at the tennis courts
• Byrd and Valerie are great

• Thinking of doing a wine and dine event
• Planning a"shamble"format golf tournament for October 29 in conjunction with the Patriots and
Dolphins game
A. Rizzi—
• Happy to be here at Miami Shores Country Club and Thank You for the Opportunity
• Excited for the re-launch of the bar
• Working on new uniforms for the servers
• Planning new lunch and dinner menus along with a new wine program
R. Strickland—no comments
With no further business,meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
