Advisory Board Meeting
Wednesday,May 29,2013
Present: H. Spahn,L. Mennes,M. Mennes, M. Gallo,B. Brown,J.D' Alessandro,
T.Allison,H. Orlin,R. Strickland and Alberto Pozzi
Meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm
Last months meeting minutes were approved.
A. Pozzi—Explaining some of the Summer Projects
• Replace bar equipment,purchase a large flat screen size TV,re-cover the bar and redo the service
stations
• Will have to shut down the bar for a couple of days,will set the Shores Room with portable bars for
lunch and Thursday and Friday night service
• Will have to close the entire clubhouse and proshop for termite tenting on September 16, 17 and
18"'
• Mr. Walters called to suggest an area in the Club House to be designated to display Miami Shores
History and wanted to know if the Board would be interested in participating in collecting
memorabilia and assisting in the selection of the appropriate area to display it
Mrs. Wilcoxen could not attend the meeting
• She stated that she was not happy because the Ladies Golf Association was not notified that the
fairways were being aerated last week
New Business:
H. Spahn—the.14t"annual Sommelier Guild took place in May and the service and food were excellent
L. Mennes—No Comments
M. Mennes—
• The drainage pump on#5 was not running
• We should try to elevate the metal lockers 4 inches off the ground to prevent damage from flood
water
M. Gallo—
• Every time we get a heavy rain the water comes into the proshop,the carpet gets wet and there are
odors in the proshop and locker room
• We should be concerned with the people in that have to breath the smell in everyday
H. Orlin—
• Camp starts on Monday—there will be 15-20 kids for the first week,numbers are good
• Should have about 20 ladies on Tuesday mornings,the San Souci ladies group joined the Club
• Going to resurface the tennis courts at the end of the week

B. Brown—
• Pleased with everything
• Service is excellent
J. D' Alessandro—
• Allison Zelkowitz is the chair for the Mayor's Ball,which is scheduled for November 9°i
• Bob Bourne is in charge of ticket sales
T.Allison—
• Golf operation is in good shape
• Ready for summer camp
• Put out new range balls today
• Directed at Mr.Brown—How are the ballwashers
B. Brown—
• The ballwashers are fair
• Did see the push mowers
R. Strickland—The next meeting is scheduled for June 26
With no further business,meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
