Present: H. Spahn,E. Lowell,L. Mennes,M.Mennes,B.Brown,M. Gallo,R. Sickelsmith,T. Allison,
R. Strickland and Alberto Pozzi
Meeting was called to order at 5:32 pm
Old Business:
A. Pozzi—
• Best membership year in quite awhile,we have 172 golf members
• The letter that was requested by board to address City Council on the Clubs improvements was
distributed and approved by board and signed
New Business(Started in reverse order):
M. Gallo—
• Happy to be here
• What do we want in terms of membership?
• We should have kids clinic offered at another to get the whole family out
A. Pozzi—
• In terms of membership we are a social,golf and tennis club and want to build around the tennis and
golf
• We can certainly do the junior clinic,we just need enough time to promote it
B.Brown—Some golfers question the amount they pay for membership
A. Pozzi—
• Value of membership is not same,the demand is higher in December to April
• Seasonal single$2000 vs. $2500
• The 6 month seasonal have to be consecutive months
M. Mennes—
• Winter Premier Card?
• On the road by Miami Country Day,weeds are coming out of the mulch
• The Golf Course Maintance Crew needs to pick up the garbage when they see it
• Can we do anything about the canal and how filthy it gets?
T.Allison—You are able to buy the Premier card for all year or buy it in the winter for$50
A. Pozzi—
• The Premier Card entitles you to pay cart fees only in the winter months and in the winter it is a
discounted rate
• Maintance crew is working very hard with the new greens
• Things will get easier now because the grass is not growing so we can focus more on manicuring
• Will have to call the South Florida Water Management district
B. Brown—Sees a lot of fisherman out there
T.Allison—Please call pro-shop when you see people out there

L. Mennes—

• Everything is fine at the tennis courts
• The Mayor's Ball and the St. Rose Golf Tournament were well done
• Clubhouse needs work
A. Pozzi—Needs a major renovation at least$600-$700 hundred thousand in repairs
E. Lowell—everybody is happy
H. Spahn—Westview and longtime members loved thanksgiving
T.Allison—
• 4ball in January
• We are planning other golf events
• Nine and Dine with Friday dinner
R. Sickelsmith—
• Everyone worked hard for thanksgiving
• We are going to have the Harvey Nevins Quartet on December 16
• January 20 we are bringing back a New and Improved Seafood buffet
R. Strickland—no comments
