05-28-2003 Regular Meeting ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MEETING MINUTES MAY 28, 2003 PRESENT: A. POZZI, H. SPAHN, R. THORNTON, MRS. O'HARE, L. MENNES, E. ROMANIK, H. ORLIN, R. TEPROFF REVIEW OF;LAST MONTH'S MEETING MINUTES We are continuing with the renovations of the restrooms on#6. NEW BUSINESS: Alberto—Trying to cut costs. Mr. Spahn—Foliage needs to be cut and shaven on the 2nd tee on the north side of the bridge, east side of railroad tracks 8 to 9, on#6 by zoo marker. Wild grass needs to be looked at. New workman needs to learn golf course etiquette, couldn't tee off had to wait for the workers to pass by, they should pull to the side when someone is teeing off. Workers should wear hardhats. Mr. Thornton—Maintenance workers never look at the golfers when they are on the course. Mrs. O'Hare—Can not finish the Wilcox because of the weather. Asked if the ceiling in the men's locker room fell in. { i Alberto—The pipe broke and we have to wait for the ceiling to dry, can not do the dry wall yet. Williams Island ladies are looking for organized play and want to be part of the association; they are looking for organized events and tournaments. Mrs. Mennes—A team finished 1" in the North League and both the A and B teams are inviting people to come out and play. Mrs. Romanik—No comments Mr. Thornton—Gus should circulate around the golf course more. New people are coming in to find out about membership. Excited about camp, looking forward to a nice turnout. June 14th was Club championship. Has a landscape plan of it looks like now and what it is intended to look like. The presentation will be headed by a leader in the industry. The lights will have timers to go out at l Opm sharp. Mr. Spahn—Traffic really should not be discussed. Howie—Traffic is not an issue. Photo metrics and the landscape plan are being worked. The tennis courts are in fantastic shape, Saul does a great job. June 19 the lighting issue will go on the agenda again.
