REVIEW OF LAST MONTH'S MEETING MINUTES
The reupholstering and painting of the Clubhouse is going slower than expected,
hopefully before Thanksgiving everything will be done.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. Pozzi—Introduced the website and the members' page. Going to ask Howie to come
to the next Advisory Board Meeting.
Mrs. O'Hare— I'm getting new members for the Miami Shores Ladies Golf Association
and membership is going smoothly.
Mr. Thornton—Asked if you have to be a member to get tee times? People off the street
should not get to make a starting time.
For the Bridge Party, the dining room should start serving full tables at 12:10 and the
rolls are to be served with the soup.
Mrs. Mennes— Very enthusiastic about the new tennis director, Howie Orlin, he warms
the women up. And watches the women's matches, and he is very friendly. The teams
are going well. People are needed for the B team.
Mr. Kretzschmar— Says the golf course is in fantastic condition and is hearing from
others that it is in great shape. Asked how we plan to promote membership?
Mr. Spahr—Asked when we are going to get lights on the tennis courts? When is it
going to be on the agenda for the City Commission?
Mrs. Romanik— She had a wonderful summer trying to increase younger membership in
the club. A suggestion would be to have a wine tasting party, which is a low cost to the
club.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
