MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 29 , 1997
PRESENT: DOUG LINDHEIMER; CHAIRMAN, LEON NEWMAN, HERB SPAHN,
BABS MEYER, RAY LACOMBE, ERNEST UPTHEGROVE, ALBERTO
POZZI, AND MIKE WALSH
EXCUSED: THOMAS LONGMAN
REVIEW OF LAST MEETING MINUTES
MEETING STARTED AT 5:30 P.M.
1 ) The Greens- will be overseeded on November 11 for the winter
season.
2 ) Ray Lacombe commented on the east and west side of the tennis
courts are starting to affect the playing surface of the
tennis courts . Alberto Pozzi said that as soon as the bunker
renovation project is complete that he will begin on the
project of correcting the above stated problem.
3 ) Ray Lacombe also suggested that the guest fees should be
lowered. Alberto Pozzi explained why this was impractible.
4 ) Babs Meyer commented on the area located just outside the
ladies locker room needs renovation. Alberto Pozzi said
that this area is on his list of improvements but some other
areas are in need of attention first.
5 ) Herb Spahn suggested in adverse weather conditions the Pro
Shop staff should be assist the ranger in maintaining course
rules . Mike Walsh will implement this when a situation
arises.
6 ) Ernest Upthegrove commented on the new sand renovation and
said that there is too much sand. Alberto said that the
new sand takes about two weeks to compact and become playable.
7 ) Doug Lindheimer suggested the following course improvements :
a) The yardage discs in the fairway need to be trimmed
b) Ropes need to be moved. Players are having to walk to
far as they near the green. Alberto Pozzi said that the
ropes are moved according to any special circumstances
that prohibit cart traffic.
