any trail fee. This applies to anyone who had a membership
prior to September 1989 .
The total cost for Capital Improvements to date is $ 542, 762,
which includes both the golf course and the Clubhouse. An
additional $ 70, 000 is committed to further improvements and
an additional $ 65, 000 will be necessary to install lights for
the Tennis Courts, if approved. These amounts far exceed the
original agreement for Professional Course Management to spend
a minimum of $ 450,000 .
Response to the dues increase has been favorable. The dining
room is exceeding expectations, and he thanked the Board members
for their input. The Tennis lights issue will be presented
to the Council once again after the Council members inspect
the lights at a private residence in South Miami and a noise
study is completed. Use of the lights until 10 : 00 PM is
important to make this investment worthwhile.
The Pro Shop will be moved to the Men ' s Lounge regardless of
the pool plans, to provide a more efficient operation.
They are satisfied with the progress of the Golf Course, although
there is difficulty treating the weeds and may have to sprig
some areas .
The renovation of the Clubhouse is complete, and the
reupholstering in the Bar area will be completed by October
1st. The "Dues and Booze" party is now scheduled for the 18th
of October, instead of the 16th. A regular dinner menu will
be available at a reasonable cost to supplement the complimentary
Cocktail Hour.
