06-27-1990 Regular Meeting f MIAMI SHORES COUNTRY CLUB ADVISORY BOARD MEETING JUNE 27, 1990 PRESENT: Angela Daley, Lewis Harms, Joseph Obermeyer, Joseph Schwartz, Chuck Hart', Club Manager, Gail Macdonald, Village Manager EXCUSED: Dick Thornton, Jim Meyer, Addea Colangelo EX OFFICIO: Johnny LaPonzina, Professional Course Management Partner, Julie Petruzziello, President, Women' s Golf Association The meeting was called to order at 5 : 10 PM by Angela Daley, Vice Chairman. The minutes of the May meeting were not available due to misplacement. Report by Chuck Hart: Renovation of the Country Club experienced a delay due to replacement of the contractors . Completion is expected by the end of July. The golf course equipment is in operation and the golf course shows noticeable improvement. The play on the course is up 50% over last year. Summer memberships totaled only 63 to date, so a change in the reciprocal agreement will be planned for next year. Joe Schwartz: Inquired on the response from the Jockey Club marketing plan, which includes social and golf privileges Chuck Hart: Will limit their memberships as all golf memberships will be limited to 450 . The dues structure for 1990-91 has been established. Social, General, Tennis and Family Intermediate memberships will not be increased. Non-resident Family golf will be $ 2 ,800, which will include 2 bag storage and 2 lockers. Non-resident single golf will be $ 2,200, including 1 bag storage and 1 locker. Shores resident family golf will be $ 2,040 including 2 bag storage & 2 lockers . Shores resident single golf will be $ 1 ,430 including 1 bag storage and 1 locker. Walking privileges will continue by replacing the trail fee with a mandatory use of motorized pull cart at the rental fee of $ 6 .00 for 18 holes and $ 3 .50 for 9 holes . Dining Room revenues are up - bookings are excellent for the coming year. Kitchen equipment is being replaced, which will enable a more efficient operation. Lew Harms : He and his friends have been pleased with the improvement of the food. Page Two ( 2 ) Chuck Hart: A letter is going out to all residents inviting them to use the club dining room and golf at guest rates. The newsletter "Club Talk" will be published every month. Angela Daley: Inquired about Pro Shop plans . Chuck Hart: The plans for moving the Pro Shop are on hold due to the possibility of the Village moving the pool . Joe Schwartz: Tennis is doing well . Would appreciate a sign on Club Drive. Chuck Hart: Approved request and stated they are making every effort to improve the quality of the club. Meeting was adjourned at 6 : 25.
