May 23'-d,2017 City of Miami Shores Building Department STRUCTURAL REVISION NARRATIVE: The following is a brief description of items that were changed as a result of field conditions: ITEM No. RESPONSE The rafter member was measured to be a 2x8 (7V4")instead of the 2x10.The required section modulus in the original calculation is less than 2% The S-2.0 repetitive member factor was not used in the calculation, thus the 2x8 is adequate. Thru-bolts staggered at 12" are acceptable to make this connection. Detail 1/S-5.2 was revised to reflect that the rafter is a 2x8 instead of a 2x10. S-5.2 The staggered thru-bolt connection is shown in the revised detail, in coordination with sheet S-2.0. Please let us know if you have any further questions or require additional information.
