ACTION ITEM
1. Request for Certificate of Appropriateness
361 N.E. 101st Street
Applicants: Chris Urrutia
Request: Installation of French Doors
Decks & Pergolas
Discussion between those in attendance centered around the appropriateness of the proposed
locations for the wood decks and pergolas and maintaining the architectural and historical
features of the home.
Following the discussions, Ms. Estep summarized the discussions and comments made by the
Board Members.
The Board was in favor of the proposed wood pergola to the rear of the home as presented on
the plans as well as replacing the existing windows and sliders with French doors as indicated
on the proposed plans.
The Board was also in favor of the proposed addition of wood decks with pergola roofs to the
west of the home as long as the required 15’ side setback is maintained in constructing the
wood deck and pergola roof and that the front edge of the deck and roof is set back behind the
existing shrubs at the front of the home.
The Board advised that when the proposed fence is installed, the fence should be installed set
back equal distance on both the east and west side of the home.
The Board was not in favor of the installation of a wood pergola in the front entrance way as
proposed on plans.
Mr. Bramson moved to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness as summarized by Ms. Estep. Mr.
Mumby seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor of the motion.
The June 3, 2015 Historic Preservation Board Meeting was adjourned at 6:53 PM.
