FINAL BUDGET HEARING MINUTES
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 6:00 PM COUNCIL CHAMBERS
1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Mayor Brady called the meeting to order at 6:02 PM.

4. RESOLUTIONS- PUBLIC HEARINGS
A. A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING THE FINAL LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Ms. Rodriguez read the entire resolution into the record, detailing the tentative operating millage rate of 7.9
mills and the proposed increase over the rolled-back rate, which is greater than the rolled-back rate of 7.3992
mills by 6.77%.
Vice Mayor Brady opened the public hearing, but as no one wished to speak on the proposed tax increase,
Vice Mayor Brady closed the Public Hearing.
Councilman Zelkowitz moved to approve the Resolution, adopting the final levying of ad valorem taxes for
the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Councilwoman Burch seconded the motion.

There being no discussion, Vice Mayor Brady called for the vote, which was unanimous in favor of the motion.
B. A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING THE FINAL BUDGETS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Ms. Rodriguez read the entire resolution into the record, detailing the tentative budgets for fiscal year 2018-
2019.
Vice Mayor Brady opened the public hearing, but as no one wished to speak, Vice Mayor Brady closed the
public hearing.
Councilman Zelkowitz moved to approve the Resolution, adopting the final budgets for fiscal year 2018-2019.
Councilwoman Burch seconded the motion.
There being no further discussion, Vice Mayor Brady called for the vote, which was unanimous in favor of the
motion.

The final public Budget Hearing on the 2018-2019 millage rates and budgets was adjourned at 6:07 PM.
