Minutes of the Fine Arts Commission held on November 10, 2015.

The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m.
Mr. Stock made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 6, 2015 meeting.
Motion seconded by Ms. Goodman and unanimously approved.
The meeting opened with the introduction of Ms. Gutchess to the Commission members.
Mr. Estep reported that the Commission has a balance of $7950 in the FY 2016 budget.
It was related that ‘Our Past In Pictures’ exhibit was very well received with a large
turnout for the event. Ms. Rojas suggested having a second show in two years. It was
suggested revisiting this idea at the December meeting with Mr. Bruce.
The tentative date for the de-installation of the Village Hall art is January 19. It was
noted that artist Kalyan has been accepted by the library board for the January library
exhibit. Mr. Stock made a motion to approve $900 for publicity for Gallery Night.
Motion seconded by Ms. Rojas and unanimously approved.
Discussion turned to the February 19 campfire concert. Food trucks will be open an
hour before the actual event. Sean Dibble’s drumming duo will be performing for $240.
The schedule is as follows: Drumming from 7 – 7:30, Chloe Dolandis from 7:30 – 9 pm
with drumming also played during the intermission. It was suggested asking the food
trucks to pay $50 and Proper Sausage to pay $25. Mr. Stock made a motion to
approve $600 for marketing for the February 19 campfire concert. Motion
seconded by Ms. Goodman and unanimously approved.
It was noted that the library would like to have the Latino 500 event on April 22. Carol
Damian will be the curator for the event. Mr. Stock made a motion to form a
subcommittee comprised of Ms. Gutchess and Ms. Ackley to work with the library
beginning Nov. 12 to meet the curator of Latino 500. Motion seconded by Ms.
Goodman and unanimously approved.
Ms. Gutchess suggested a tour with Fountainhead artists similar to Art Basel.
