R-2018-191 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 -11 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 52 53 54 RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -19 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL, MIAMI SHORES, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 -2019; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council of Miami Shores, Florida, held a public hearing as required by Florida Statute 200.065; and, WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council of Miami Shores, Florida, on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, adopted Fiscal Year 2018 -2019 tentative millage rates following a public hearing as required by Florida Statute 200.065; and, WHEREAS, the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt from taxation within Miami -Dade County has been certified by the county property appraiser to Miami Shores Village as $1,118,032,960. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The Fiscal Year 2018 -2019 tentative operating millage rate is 7.9 mills, which is greater than the rolled -back rate of 7.3992 mills by 6.77 %. Section 2. The voted debt service millage totals 0.4192 (0.1648 mills and 0.2544 mills for the Aquatic Center and Charter School, respectively). Section 3. The Village Council will adopt the final millage rates following the second mandatory public hearing, which is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Monday, September 17, 2018. Section 4.
