Miami Shores Village, Planning Board Meeting 2 MINUTES: February 22, 2018 Applicant came in at this time. Mr. Brady disclosed that he knows the Applicant. Mr. Sarafan asked Mr. Brady if there was any conflict of interest. Mr. Brady said no there was none. Motion to move from tabled item by Mr. Brady, seconded by Mr. Snow and the vote passed 3 -0. The applicant seeks approval: Pursuant to Articles IV, V and VI of Appendix A Zoning, Sec. 400 Schedule of Regulations and Sec. 600. Change of use. Motion to approve subject to Staffs recommendations and that the language in the Staff report be changed to reflect that it is not a Karate Studio by Mr. Brady, seconded by Mr. Snow and the vote passed 3 -0. IV) ACTION ITEMS: PUBLIC HEARINGS; IV) CONTINUED ITEMS: a) Subdivision of Lots — This item was moved by consensus of the Board to our next meeting. The Board felt that it would be better to wait unitl all the Board members are pesent. V) PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS Miami Shores Village, Planning Board Meeting MINUTES: February 22, 2018 a) Generator Regulations This item was moved by consensus of the Board to our next meeting. The Board felt that it would be better to wait until all the Board members are present. VII) DISCUSSION a) The Board asked questions about the subdivision of lots. Mr. Kendall explained that yes there has been some discussion about this subject. Mr. Snow asked about the status of the Comp Plan. Mr. Sarafan gave them a brief overview on the status of the Comp Plan. Mr. Kendall explained the process that this Comp Plan has to go through before it gets approved on second reading. Mr. Kendall offered to provide the changes that are made available to the Board. There was discussion about the municipalities and organizations that would have a say in this matter. The Board asked questions about the time period from application and approval by P &Z and the permit process. Mr. Kendall briefly explained. There was some discussion about the approval and how some properties don't follow through with the permitting process at the Building Department. The Board asked questions about the Design Manual. Mr. Sarafan informed the Board that this has passed by Council. The Board asked questions about the status of the Vegetable Garden. Mr. Sarafan informed the Board about the status and what courts they have gone to. He spoke briefly about where it is in the legistation process. Mr. Sarafan informed the Board that this particular case did not have any fines adjudicated by the Code Enforcement Board. He briefly spoke about all that has happened regarding this case. VIII) NEXT REGULAR BOARD HEARING —March 22, 2018.
