Two sealed bids were received; one from Essig Pool Design and the second from National Pool Design. A staff committee was convened to review the bids and determined that National Pool Design would best suit our needs and also, provided the lowest pricing for the required services. Based on the responses received from our Invitation to Bid, I recommend that you award the contract for the Aquatic Center Activity Pool Resurfacing to National Pool Design. Funding for this project was included in the FY 2018 Capital Budget at $40,000. The difference of $9,566 will still come from capital funding through savings from other projects. Due to the season opening March 30th, the project must be completed in early March to adhere to the opening maintenance schedule.
