A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL CREATING BUDGET
AMENDMENT #3 TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 -2017 OPERATING BUDGETS;
APPROPRIATING $217,326 FROM THE GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE
GREATER MIAMI SHORES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GRANT, POLICE
OVERTIME, AND THE ADDITION OF TWO POLICE OFFICERS AND ONE
DISPATCHER.
WHEREAS, the Village adopted an annual operating budget for all funds and Departments for
the fiscal year which began October 1, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, Florida State Statutes require such fund increases be approved by the Council
in the form of a resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Miami Shores Village Council that:
Section 1. This resolution creates and approves Budget Amendment #3 to the Fiscal Year
2016 -2017 Budget, effectuating the following increases:
$217,326 increase in the Appropriation from Fund Balance Account in the General Fund
$30,000 increase in the Other Current Charges and Obligations Council Account in the
Mayor and Council Department in the General Fund
$73,288 increase in the Regular Salaries and Wages Account in the Police Department in
the General Fund
$60,000 increase in the Overtime Account in the Police Department in the General Fund
$5,606 increase in the FICA and Medicare Account in the Police Department in the
General Fund
$6,746 increase in the Health Insurance Account in the Police Department in the General
Fund
$148 increase in the Dental Insurance Account in the Police Department in the General
Fund
$37 increase in the Long -Term Care Insurance Account in the Police Department in the
General Fund
$1,415 increase in the Workers' Compensation Account in the Police Department in the
General Fund
$1,920 increase in the Life and Health Insurance Bonus Account in the Police Department
in the General Fund
$1,206 increase in the Pre - employment Screening Account in the Police Department in
the General Fund;
$36,960 increase in the Uniforms Account in the Police Department in the General Fund
as referenced in the schedule attached hereto.
Section 2. This resolution is effective immediately upon adoption.
