RESOLUTION NO. 1581-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL CREATING BUDGET
AMENDMENT #2 TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-2016 OPERATING BUDGETS;
APPROPRIATING $1,199,950 FROM THE GENERAL FUND BALANCE FOR THE
DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE ANALYSIS, THE DOWNTOWN ARCHITECTURAL
DESIGN MANUAL, THE FINANCIAL FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS FOR P3'S,
RECREATION PROPERTY SURVEY, & THE ARCHDIOCESE BUILDING; $134,255
FROM THE TRANSPORTATION TRUST (CITT) FUND BALANCE FOR THE VILLAGE
WIDE TRAFFIC STUDY & THE SHARROW INSTALLATION; $1,100,000 INCREASE
IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND FOR THE ARCHDIOCESE BUILDING;
$5,000,000 INCREASE IN THE WATER & SEWER FUND FOR THE WATER &
SEWER PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the Village adopted an annual operating budget for all funds and Departments for
the fiscal year which began October 1, 2015; and,
WHEREAS, Subsequent to the start of the 2015-2016 fiscal year, the Village Council has
approved certain expenditures that require intra-department fund transfers and fund increases;
namely the Downtown Streetscape Analysis, the Downtown Architectural Design Manual, the
Financial Feasibility Analysis for 133's, the Recreation Property Survey, the Purchase of the
Archdiocese Building, the Village Wide Traffic Study, Sharrow Installation and the Water& Sewer
Project.
WHEREAS, Florida State Statutes require such fund transfers and increases be approved
by the Council in the form of a resolution;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Miami Shores Village Council that:
Section 1. This resolution creates and approves Budget Amendment#2 to the Fiscal Year
2015-2016 Budget, effectuating the following transfers and increases:
$75,650 from the General Fund Balance to the Professional Services Account
$24,300 from the General Fund Balance to the Special Projects Manager Account
$1,100,000 from the General Fund Balance to the Transfer to Capital Projects Account
$87,255 from the CITT Fund Balance to the Professional Services Account
$47,000 from the CITT Fund Balance to the Transportation Improvements Account
$1,100,000 increase in the Building Account in the Capital Projects Fund
$1,100,000 increase in Transfer from General Fund in the Capital Projects Fund
$5,000,000 increase in Debt Proceeds in the Water&Sewer Fund
$17,500 increase in Professional Services Account in the Water&Sewer Fund
$4,982,500 increase in the Infrastructure Account in the Water&Sewer Fund;
as referenced in the schedule attached hereto.
Section 2. This resolution is effective immediately upon adoption.
