A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL, SETTING
TENTATIVE OPERATING AND DEBT SERVICE AD VALOREM MILLAGE
LEVIES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005/2006 BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2005 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2006; SETTING THE TIME, DATE AND PLACE
FOR THE TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006
OPERATING BUDGETS AND PROPOSED AD VALOREM MILLAGE LEVIES.
WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council is required to comply with all of the
regulatory provisions identified in Section 200.065, Florida State Statutes, which delineate the
presentation of proposed budgets and ad valorem tax levies; and,
WHEREAS, the Village Council, having received and reviewed the Proposed FY2005-2006
Budgets, held a Council workshop on Tuesday,July 12, 2005,
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Miami Shores Village Council that:
Section 1. A tentative ad valorem tax levy for Miami Shores Village of 8.2500 mills
be and the same is hereby adopted as the Village's proposed operating
ad valorem tax levy for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2005.
Section 2. A tentative total debt service ad valorem levy for Miami Shores Village of
0.9296 mills be and the same is hereby adopted for the Village's voter-
approved debt service levies. The individual debt service levies required
to fund FY'06 obligations are 0.3637 mills for the aquatic center and
0.5659 mills for charter school general obligation bonds for the fiscal
year beginning October 1, 2005.
Section 3. The Miami Shores Village Council will conduct the two mandatory public
hearings in compliance with Section 200.065, Florida State Statutes, on
the Proposed FY2005-2006 Operating Budgets, and correspondingly
setting millage rates for the new year, with the first public hearing on
Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 7:00 PM and the second and final public
hearing on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 7:00 PM, in the Council
Chambers of Miami Shores Village Hall, 10050 N.E. 2nd Avenue, Miami
Shores, Florida.
