R-0991-99 991- Resolution No. 99 - A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING TENTATIVE OPERATING AND DEBT SERVICE AD VALOREM MILLAGE LEVIES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000; SETTING THE TIME, DATE AND PLACE OF THE RESPECTIVE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 BUDGETS AND TENTATIVE MILLAGE RATES. WHEREAS,the Village Council of Miami Shores Village is required to establish tentative millage rates for operating and debt service purposes as prescribed by Florida State Statute 200.065; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of State law and the Village Charter, the Village Council is presenting the tentative millage levies and budgets to formally notify all interested persons and to allow all interested persons to be heard at the public hearings specified herein with regard to any of the proposed items thereof. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA: Section 1: That a tentative millage levy for Miami Shores Village, Florida, of 8.3627 mills be and the same is hereby tentatively adopted as the Village's official general operating ad valorem millage levy for the fiscal period of October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. Section 2: That a tentative millage levy for Miami Shores Village, Florida, of 0.6065 mills be and the same is hereby tentatively adopted as the Village's official, voter- approved, debt service ad valorem millage levy for the fiscal period of October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. Section 3: That the Miami Shores Village Council will conduct its first public hearing on the Proposed FY 1999-2000 Budgets and tentative millage rates on Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at 6:30 PM, and the second public hearing on Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at Village Hall. In the event that Miami-Dade County preempts either of the Village's public hearings, the Village Manager shall set a date and appropriately notice the public hearings to take place at the earliest possible time, ensuring compliance with State Statute 200.065.
