VILLAGE ATTORNEY Richard Sarafan A. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING AMENDING THE RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A REFERENDUM, TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT TO PUBLISH THE RESOLUTION IN FULL. Mr. Sarafan explained the item, indicating that there was a provision in the subject Resolution calling for the Village Clerk to advertise the Resolution in full. This provision is contrary to what is required by law and would constitute a great expense to the Village. Rather than amending the Resolution, Mr. Sarafan suggested that the Council move to direct the Village Clerk to notice the Referendum according to the requirements of the Statutes. Mr. Loffredo moved that with regard to the Resolution passed regarding the Referendum at the meeting of September 1, 1998, and for publication purposes, the Village Clerk be relieved of any obligation to publish any more language in the newspaper than what it required by law. Mr. Boyle seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor. 2. ADJOURNMENT The September 8, 1998 Special Council Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 PM. Mary Ross Agosta, Mayor a t- Barbara A.
