R-0931-94 RESOLUTION NO. 931_94 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE MIAMI SHORE VILLAGE SPECIAL ELECTION ON MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE CHARTER AMENDMENTS HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 1994 . BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA: Section 1: That a canvass of the returns received from Supervisor of Elections of Metropolitan Dade County, Florida, on Village referendum on Charter amendments, held by special election on November 8, 1994, discloses that a total of 8,716 votes were cast, by a total of 4,937 qualified electors residing in Miami Shores Village. Section 2 . That said returns disclose the following results: Amendment No. : For Against 1 2,752 301 2 1,261 1,654 3 1,737 1,011 Section 3. That the returns of said referendum indicate that proposed Charter amendment number 1, to require municipal residency for council members, and proposed Charter amendment number 3, regarding appointment of judge and associate judges and right of council to require the manager to make appointments, suspensions or discharges of employees by resolution of the council, were approved by the electors of Miami Shores Village, and that Charter amendment number 2, to provide for election of a mayor, failed to receive the required majority vote.
