RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF SPECIAL
ELECTION ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 1992, ON
TWELVE REFERENDUM PROPOSALS FOR AMENDMENT
TO CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Initiative provisions of the MIAMI
SHORES VILLAGE Charter, an election was held on October 1, 1992,
upon twelve proposed amendments to Chapter 20 of the Code of
Ordinances of Miami Shores Village, which said proposed amendments
called for the erection of street closure devices in designated
area, and
WHEREAS, said election resulted in the failure of each
proposed amendment to obtain the required majority votes, as
follows :
PROPOSED AMENDMENT #1
"SHALL CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED TO
PROVIDE FOR STREET CLOSURE DEVICES TO BE ERECTED ALONG THE
SIDE OF NORTH MIAMI AVENUE ON EACH STREET EXCEPT N.E. 95th,
103RD, 110TH, AND 111TH STREETS?"

WHEREAS, said election having resulted in the defeat of each
and every of the proposed amendments to the Code of Ordinances,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE,
FLORIDA:
That pursuant to the vote of the electorate of Miami Shores
Village on October 1, 1992, as hereinabove set forth and approved,
the Code of Ordinances of Miami Shores Village shall stand
unamended with regard to said proposals.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6 day of October, 1992
