RESOLUTION REQUESTING DADE COUNTY FLORIDA, TO DEVELOP
ESTIMATES FOR CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A SANITARY
SEWER SYSTEM WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARY OF MIAMI
SHORES VILLAGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL
TAXING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council believes that
It Is in the public Interest to have constructed sanitary sewer
lines in the commercial area of Miami Shores Village, abutting
Northeast Second Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Dade County department of Environmental Re-
sources Management (D. E .R.M. ) is willing to cooperate with Miami
Shores Village to provide the necessary assistance required to
create a special taxing district for sanitary sewer lines to be con-
structed, and
WHEREAS, the Dade County Commission must give authoriz-
ation for the special taxing district to be created ,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Miami Shores Village Council hereby
resolves that :
Section 1 : Dade County Commission be requested to give
an estimate to Miami Shores Village for the cost of construction of
sanitary sewer lines servicing property within the municipal
boundaries of Miami Shores Village.
Section 2 : The area within Miami Shores Village which
will be subject to the Dade County Special Taxing District , thus
created, is the following :
That area bounded on the North by Northeast 101st
street , and bounded on the East by the alley be-
tween Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast Third
Avenue, and bounded on the South by Northeast 94th
Street , and bounded on the West by alley between
Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast First Avenue,
all of which Is in Miami Shores Village, Florida.
Section 3 : Funding for the construction of the sanitary
sewer lines to be realized soley from the special taxing district ,
without any contribution whatsoever from Miami Shores Village except
as in Its capacity as the owner of real property situated within
said special taxing district .
Section The Miami Shores VIII Council further
resolves that the assistance being requested by this resolution be
provided on a priority basis so as to expedite the successful
completion of this project .
Section 5: The Miami Shores Village Council
further reserves the right to terminate any action taken pursuant to
this resolution if it is determined by the Council that the cost
estimates projected are found to be unacceptable.
